Why we call Hindi transcripts a rough draft
Because they are, and we would rather say so.
Speech in Hindi and Hinglish mixes two scripts, many accents and English words in the middle of a sentence. Today's speech models handle this less well than they handle plain English. In our own early tests the Hindi results contained many mistakes.
So the beta shows Hindi and Hinglish transcripts as a rough draft, and lets you double-click any word to correct it. Captions and the export follow your corrections.
We do not publish an accuracy percentage. We will do so only when we have measured it on real creator footage, and we will say how we measured it.
