How it works

From raw footage to a captioned MP4

Five steps. At every step the result is a proposal: you can edit it, reject it or undo it.

The five steps

  1. Upload. Choose a video or audio file from your device. Supported types: mp4, mov, m4v, mkv, webm, mp3, wav, m4a and aac.
  2. Transcript. AIVE One writes down what was said in Hindi, English or Hinglish. Hindi and Hinglish transcripts are a rough draft to edit: read every line and correct the words you need. Double-click a word to change its text.
  3. Cut proposals. Select words to cut the matching footage, or ask for proposals for silences and filler words. Accept the ones you want. Nothing is applied silently and every cut can be undone.
  4. Captions. Pick a caption style, including styles for Devanagari script. Captions follow your corrected text.
  5. Export. Export an MP4 with the captions burned in. Your original file is never changed.

After the export

Packaging text is proposed for YouTube: titles, a description, chapters and thumbnail frames, all editable. You download a kit and upload to YouTube yourself; AIVE One does not publish to your accounts.

Honest limits

This is a public beta. Transcripts can contain mistakes, especially in Hindi and Hinglish. One job runs at a time, so at busy moments you will see your place in the line. Your files are deleted after 7 days. See pricing for the beta limits and the FAQ.

Try the public preview

Free while in preview. Upload footage and edit it by its transcript.
